Sprinkle baking powder and garlic powder evenly over chicken wings. Toss the wings and make sure the baking powder and garlic powder fully coat the wings. Let the wings stand in the refrigerator for 1 hour or up to overnight.
Season chicken wings with salt and pepper. Place chicken wings in the air fryer basket, standing them up on their ends against the air fryer basket edge.
Bake at 400ºF for 20 minutes, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
Toss baked chicken wings in buffalo wing sauce and serve.
Make sure not to overcrowd the basket. You may have to cook the wings in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
I used a bottle of Frank's Wings Sauce.
Feel free to season the wings with any of your favorite seasonings before cooking. Lemon Pepper or a BBQ rub work great!
If you aren't a fan of buffalo sauce, feel free to toss the wings in your favorite sauce. BBQ sauce or this sauce from our Sweet & Spicy Boneless Wings would also be delicious!
Are Air Fryer Chicken Wings low-carb/keto-friendly? Yes! Frank's Wing Sauce contains zero carbs. There are 1.3 grams of carbs in the baking soda, so the wings are OK to eat on a low-carb diet.
